PROJECTS THAT YOU CAN SUPPORT

Project Fundraising

Transformative Engagement through the Hubs of Convergence. The Hubs of Convergence (HoC) is envisioned as a collaborative multi-stakeholder space of exploration for the positioning and re-positioning of the engagement and transformation interface of Nelson Mandela University. It is both a feasible and doable option for reimagining the institution as a university in service to society. Donors can assist the following projects undertaken by the Hubs of Convergence.

Africanisation and Decolonisation Project at Mandela University

Open invitation to University community

We invite you to join us in developing a community of practice to guide the Africanisation and Decolonisation project at Nelson Mandela University (AFDEP-Mandela University) as part of our ongoing efforts to foster a diverse, inclusive, and representative learning, teaching, and institutional environment rooted in knowledge democracy. We are looking for feedback and interaction from the university community in order to investigate and co-create a set of parameters that will guide our work.

Join us in this discussion; your feedback will inform our next moves.

Africanisation-Decolonisation Indaba

NEWS: 'Indaba tracks strides and gaps in Africanisation and Decolonisation at Mandela University'

Join Mandela University as it showcases some of the Africanisation and Decolonisation work currently underway across its campuses, faculties, and communities.

Concept Note & Call for Contributions

The Africanisation-Decolonisation Indaba is an open invitation for us to collectively grapple with the questions: What does (and can) decolonisation look like at Mandela, and what does (and can) it look like through the lens of Mandela, the social figure? The same framing and questions apply to our strategic imperative of Africanisation.

The Indaba will be hosted by the Africanisation-Decolonisation Working Group (ADWG) and the Transdisciplinary Institute for Mandela Studies (TIMS) in collaboration with the University Faculties at Nelson Mandela University.

We hope you will be able to join us for what is envisaged as a rich and dynamic engagement that encourages a variety of modes, including visual and artistic presentations, workshops, panel presentations, etc.
